SCRAN was founded by Henry C. Schmidling, WA6RJA. He became a silent key Wednesday December 20, 2000 at his fathers home in Hawaii. We continue to provide assistance with the projects that were important to him such as the Southern California Special Olympics, the Torrance Santa Float , as well as other events as requested, and of course emergencies.
Currently KA6TSA is the trustee, and we will be applying for Henry’s call sign, WA6RJA, as the SCRAN club call sign so that it may remain on the repeater. It is taking some time as the applications keep disappearing without explanation.
Our repeater is on Palos Verdes, California and operates on 146.235.
